Buckle Backs
Whenever I begin to construct a new pair of jeans and I unroll a bolt of denim I'm reminded of why I love making jeans... the smell of indigo dye! I love making jeans for other reasons too, but that smell is definitely at the top of the list. The buckle back jean is an American classic and I decided to make my own version. These jeans feature U.S. Navy anchor buttons and are topstitched in navy thread rather than the usual gold thread I use for denim. I think this really emphasizes the rich color and texture of the denim.
